EFA International relies on financial support from donors in order to conduct our activities. There are a number of ways that you can choose to support EFA’s mission and promote the successful future of African youth by living positively.

EFA International is registered with the IRS as a 501c3 tax exempt non-profit organization (EIN 20-5484031). All donations are tax deductible.

1. Support EFA’s general operation fund.

Donations are accepted by check or online via Network for Good.

Donations from outside the United States can be made via Network for Good by selecting the PayPal option when prompted.

2) Support a specific EFA project

Donations are accepted through Global Giving’s online platform.

Providing HIV services to 1,000 Cameroonian youth

• $10 covers fees and transport for the basic diagnostic tests for 1 HIV+ youth to stay on ARVs for 6 months
• $25 supplies 1 peer educator with condoms and materials to train 100 people about HIV
• $50 pays for school fees for 1 AIDS orphan for 1 year
• $100 provides technical assistance to 1 new HIV+ youth association for 1 month
• $250 launches 1 HIV+ association’s community garden
• $750 trains 15 HIV+ youth in HIV prevention and leadership skills for 6 months

Circle of Love-Medical tests for HIV+ Cameroonians

• $10 will provide transport to the health clinic for 1 person for 1 month
• $30 will provide transport to the health clinic and diagnostic tests for 1 person for 1 month
• $60 will provide transport to the health clinic and diagnostic tests for 1 person for 2 months
• $120 will provide transport to the health clinic and diagnostic tests for 1 person for 4 months
• $360 will provide transport to the health clinic and diagnostic tests for 1 person for 1 year
• $600 will provide transport to the health clinic and diagnostic tests for 5 people for 4 months
• $3,600 will provide transport to the health clinic and diagnostic tests for 10 people for 1 year

Where Will My Money Go?

EFA International currently supports three paid staff members– one part-time Operations Manager in the U.S. and two full-time staff in the regional office in Cameroon. EFA relies largely on volunteers to complete the organization’s work in the U.S., Cameroon and Rwanda. As a result, overhead expenditures are extremely low. As demonstrated in the following graph, the vast majority of the EFA International operational budget goes directly to funding programs.

All money raised will go to establishing new HIV+ youth support groups, and providing technical and financial assistance to existing groups.
