AWALLA Working to Identify Orphans and Vulnerable Children

AWALLA is now collaborating with GRANDI (a local NGO) who, in collaboration with the Kolofata hospital, is identifying orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in the community and assisting them to obtain birth certificates.

Birth certificates are essential to receiving access to government health care, education, and other civil opportunities. The association is providing short-term work to several members to assist in OVC identification. This collaboration was initiated by the director of the local health center.
